INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

DISCIPLINE



1. Student should report to the college in time at the commencement of classes.

2. Student should maintain minimum of 80% attendance in both theory and practical classes separately. Otherwise they will not be permitted to appear for sessional exams as well as annual examination.

3. Un-authorized absentia to the classes will be dealt strictly and will be informed to the parents.

4. Students are required to maintain the absolute discipline, decency and decorum in and around the campus.

5. Student should wear uniform compulsorily to the college except on Friday. Non-wearing of uniform, Apron, Leather shoe will be fined.

6. Daily you should come to the class 15 minutes before.

7. The moment you enter the college checks the notice board daily and also before leaving the college in evening hours.

8. Nuisance in the class and standing in the corridor is strictly prohibited.

9. Not more than 10 days leave will be given in one Academic year, apart form Vacations and General Holidays.

10. Maintain a separate notebook for leave records.

11. Students appearing for supplementary exam can apply for study leave.

12. It is mandatory that student should be present during counseling which will be conduct after each sessional exam.

13. Student should be present during sports week. (Attendance will be taken.)

14. Mobiles are banned in the college campus.

15. Ragging is strictly prohibited and punishable under the Karnataka government act any student indulging in ragging will be debarred from the institution.

16. All chemicals can be dangerous, if handled carelessly. They can cause burns, wounds, discoloration, nausea, giddiness, blindness and even death. The students should follow the instructions in handling them. Spillage/wastage should be avoided. Protective goggles/eye ware is advised in the laboratories. The chemicals should not be smelt. Any accident in the laboratory should be immediately informed to the faculty.

17. Clean habits regarding personal hygiene is very important for a healthy and successful life. Student should say ‘no’ the first time and every time to habit forming substances, including tobacco products like cigarettes, gutka, alcohol, betel nuts(supari), Chewing gum etc. in the class/college campus.

ACADEMICS


THEORY

1. Punctuality to classes is a must.

2. Carry the syllabus break up given to you by the concerned staff.

3. Collect the previous Question papers subject-wise from library/university Website www.rguhs.ac.in

4. Prepare the notes on your own don’t follow the notes given by seniors 

5. Approach the concerned lecturer and clarify the doubts by taking their convenient time.

6. Prepare for Sessional Examinations and Annual Examinations in the same pattern.

7. Spare time in the library whenever you are free during college hours and also utilize the library services during the extended time after college hours.



PRACTICALS

1. Observation book Compulsory.

2. Neat Apron, Napkin compulsory.

3. Before taking any glassware please check the condition whether it is in good condition or broken condition, don’t accept the broken glass ware from lab Attendee or Lab Technician.

4. Before handling any equipment please read standard operation procedure (SOP) or takes the guidance from the concerned lab technician or concerned lecturer.

5. Minimize the wastage of chemicals.

6. Understand the practical properly and use of any reagents/additives there is reasoning behind it ask for reasoning of each ingredient being used in practical. 

7. Before leaving the lab take the signature of the concerned lecturer on the observation book with date Compulsory.

8. Before leaving the lab clean the area where you had done the practical and return the glassware, as you had taken intact.

 

SESSIONAL EXAMS

1. THERE WILL BE THREE SESSIONAL EXAMS IN WHOLE ACADEMIC YEAR.

2. Average marks of the best two examinations out of a maximum of 30 marks will be forwarded to university.

3. Eligibility for appearing each Sessional exam 80% of attendance is compulsory.

4. Before appearing for Sessional exam the syllabus break up given by concerned lecturer must and should be completed if not completed bring it to the notice of Principal immediately in writing.

5. NO RE SESSIONAL EXAM FOR PRACTICALS

6. If you have not made up the 80% attendance due to some genuine reasons please drop in application quoting the genuineness of your absentia with authenticated documents for genuiness your absentia With supporting document ( Medical ground).

7. The same is applicable for Annual Examination, as per the directions of the university.



OFFICE AND ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS


1. Collect Identity card, Collect Record books at the time admission itself, take the signature of the principal before commencement of classes or maximum 8 days will be given to get signed your Identity cards.

2. Any type of work in office with concerned office superintendent give a written application in the name of principal, submit the same to principal for further progress. The application should contain a clear subject along with following details, Name of the student, signature, Class, Roll number, University register number, Date of application, Academic year in which you had taken the admission.

3. Any kind of work will be attended by the office people, may take some time depending upon the type of work and will be communicated to you by the office personally to you. Your job is to give application.

4. Don’t disturb the Office people as it hampers the day-to-day administrative work.

5. Once in a year Railway concession forms are given during vacation period. Detail guidelines for the same will be educated to you by—Tanveer, Diploma office superintendent.
