Program Overview

The Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutics is an advanced 2-year (4-semester) postgraduate research-oriented program designed to train specialists in drug product development, novel drug delivery systems (NDDS), industrial scale-up, and regulatory compliance.

At Luqman College of Pharmacy, Kalaburagi, the Pharmaceutics specialization offers rigorous academic coursework in the first year followed by an intensive research thesis/dissertation project in the second year. Students work alongside experienced research guides using sophisticated analytical equipment, particle size analyzers, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and dissolution apparatus.

Research Focus: Students engage in formulation research, process optimization, and industrial scale-up techniques in collaboration with experienced faculty.
02

Core Research Focus Areas

Our postgraduate department focuses on cutting-edge formulation sciences and technological advancements:

Novel Drug Delivery (NDDS)

Development of liposomes, nanoparticles, polymeric micelles, and targeted carrier systems.

Controlled Release Technology

Formulation of sustained, delayed, and transdermal therapeutic delivery platforms.

Nanotechnology & Solubility

Bioavailability enhancement of poorly soluble drugs via solid dispersions & nano-suspensions.

Regulatory & Validation

Process validation, stability testing per ICH guidelines, and regulatory dossier filings.
